End-of-life
The Apache project announced that they will stop fixing Apache 2.2 per June 2017 and would stop providing security patches by end of 2017.
Apache 2.2.34 is the last version of the 2.2 branch. After this, patches are made available via https://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/patches/apply_to_2.2.34 (This link is broken) but these will not result in new versions. The Apache team keeps an eye out on the patches and adds them to the port, bumping the PORTREVISION. www/apache22 has already been marked deprecated and expired (2017-07-01).
