FreeBSD Developer Summit: Documentation Working Group
6 October 2011 (Thursday 10:30 - 13:00), schedule: TBD
Overview
This working group will focus on improving the FreeBSD documentation set, both in terms of content as well as tool support and collaboration between doc committers. With the upcoming FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE, we need to get the documentation into the right shape so that it accurately reflects and documents the features of this release. Also, we want to continue some of the stuff we discussed at the BSDCan DevSummit and talk about what progress has been made since then. We encourage every documentation committer or member of a FreeBSD translation project to attend, even if they have never been to any of these working groups in the past.
If you would like to participate, contact either one of the chair persons below and CC devsummit@. We will then add you to this page. Please include a list of things you want to talk about or the areas you are interested in. This helps us in planning the session and to bring people together with common interests.
We will try to bring in people who cannot attend in person via videoconference or chat tools. Notes during the session will be published later on for the whole community to see what we discussed.
Goals
In particular, we would like to cover the following topics. This is not an exhaustive list and if you feel there is something missing that you want to talk about, contact one of the session chairs and we will include your topic here. Note that the numbering of the topics does not represent an ordering or importance indication of any kind, but rather a reference to the second table with the "topic of interest" column.
