GNU Emacs

Introduction

GNU Emacs is officially supported on FreeBSD on a best-effort basis. Most functionality just works, but when there are FreeBSD-specific issues, upstream has been receptive to help resolve them.

For normal usage, use the Emacs FreeBSD Package/Port or Emacs development FreeBSD Package/Port
