FreeBSD Google Summer of Code page

The Google Summer of Code is an event sponsored by Google, Inc. and allows students to spend their Summer contributing to open source software projects. FreeBSD is a freely-available open-source operating system, and is participating in Summer of Code this year. Students can apply to FreeBSD to work on a project of their choosing, and when selected they work from home full-time for 12 weeks with the aid of a FreeBSD mentor, helping the open source community improve its software. The target is to promote software engineering among university students.
